I can remember when I dressed and lived for a version of myself who didn’t know her own power yet.
The version who ‘no’ was weak as table butter.
The version who allowed people to insert themselves into my space unsolicited.
The version who carried emotional luggage that didn’t even belong to me.
It’s interesting how growth boomerangs the past back so you can see it with new eyes.
Recently, an old memory resurfaced — someone trying to step into something that was mine after I had already said no. Back then, I questioned myself. Today, I recognize it for what it was: entitlement, boundary‑pushing, and a lack of respect for my space.
I’m not that woman anymore.
I’m dressing and living for who I’m becoming. A woman who carries only her emotional luggage and honors her boundaries without apology. A woman who knows what’s hers and protects it. A woman who replenishes herself instead of running on empty. A woman who no longer shrinks to make others comfortable.
The past taught me what happens when I abandon myself.
The present is teaching me what happens when I choose me.
And the future?
It’s calling for a version of me who walks in her fullness — not her fear.
