Figuring It Out as I Go

Every time I try something new, I forget how messy the beginning can be. With any journey there’s great discoveries as well as potholes in the road. I fall from time to time, sometime even tripping over my own feet but I’ve learned that keeping the mindset of building from the bad times turns those falls into forward failures which pushes me further along in my journey. Remembering my why keeps me going. It makes the hard parts feel worth it. And honestly, I’ve had to check myself when I start comparing my pace to someone else’s – that’s the quickest way to lose focus. Avoiding comparing my beginning to someone else’s middle helps me maintain my focus and cancels out the possibilities of self-sabotaging.

I’m accepting that not everyone will support my new movements or even understand them – and that’s okay. Because what I’m doing is bigger than their opinions and thoughts of me.

I’ve learned that it’s not what people say about you that matters, but what you say about yourself. So, celebrate your now and embrace your journey. Enjoy evolving in real time as you curate your foundation one brick at a time.
