Permission to Pause

I give everywhere — but I don’t always give myself the time to absorb what I’ve learned. And that’s costing me more than exhaustion ever could. My family gets me daily. My job gets forty hours. My friends get my time. And still I’m blogging, sewing, learning something new. But I never give myself a chance to just sit with what I’ve learned. I’m not slowing down enough to feel the shift, and it feels like I’m moving so fast that I’m not allowing my growth to land.

I have to be honest in saying that the accountability in saying this makes me feel some type of way because I love learning and I love forward movement. Yet, I need to learn to rest in it without feeling like I’m not being responsible. I need to sit with what I’m learning and stop disturbing my growth so that I can gain the depth needed for a full evolution. Because now I’m understanding that resting is part of growth.

Sitting with that part.

I need to sit within my own metamorphosis and just be.

Just being who I am in this moment of transformation.

Stop rushing past my own evolution and be.

Just be.

Spread the love
