The early stage of a relationship is the time of discovery. Expectations aren’t warranted because part of the fun is finding out what you don’t know. That doesn’t mean ignore things that need to be questioned, or run like hell when danger’s present, but enjoy being curious. Allow the natural connection to happen and see where it leads without your past baggage and unsolicited expectations driving the possibilities. Life is messy, it’s good times to be enjoyed, bad times for us to build from, and there’re times of silence that can be mistaken for loneliness, but are really active for us to focus. Let the early stages be early. They’re doing their job.
