Sometimes small steps don’t feel like progress. It feels a lot like trying to find the light switch in a dark, junky room. You keep bumping into things thinking you’re closer than you really are which causes you to feel like you’re always starting over.
Even writing this post has been a journey. Struggling with the distinction between necessity and intention and trying to force clarity has been such a clumpy process. Jumping in and out of this post I finally realized that this writing journey wasn’t only about the implementation of the post, but the lessons I needed to learn from all of the problems encountered during the journey to completion.
Small steps have a way of humbling you when you think you got it all under control. Without small steps there would be no process, no deposit of wisdom to help the next person with the same struggle. They are the rhythm of our evolution – each one moves us forward. Your steps – no matter how small – carry power. Keep moving forward.
