Proenza Schouler is launching a less expensive clothing line called Proenza Schouler White Label or PSWL. The line will consists of denim, swearshirts, tees, as well as outerwear. Keep in mind, everyone has their own level of cheap, so look for this lesser expensive line to retail between $195 to $1195 – I told you. Anywho, both designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough shared their glowing enthusiasm about the launch stating, “It has always been a goal of ours to fully develop a well-rounded and balanced collection that mixes the high-end with the everyday in a way that speaks to both many of our personal friends, and to the designer customer we’ve developed over the years. A more casual lifestyle has always been true to who we are as individuals and true of many women in our lives. We are excited to finally have an entire range of easy, more casual things to offer alongside the more crafted and fashion-focused pieces that we have explored in the past and will continue to design. Puma has announced Yo Gotti as the newest ambassador of their brand. Gotti makes the fourth Roc Nation member to sign on with the label, accompanying Rihanna, Big Sean, and Emory Jones. The Memphis native voiced his gratitude by stating, “Puma has been an iconic name in the fashion world for decades, their ability to remain at the top of the game in not only sportswear, but in culture and fashion is inspirational, I’m honored to be a part of that legacy.” This Puma deal is only an addition to the rapper’s success, with his latest hit “Rake It Up” debuting in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 list. The Puma’s North American VP of Marketing, Allison Giorgio voiced her enthusiasm stating, “Yo Gotti’s creative talent, drive, and genuine passion for his fans is the perfect match for Puma. He is confident and isn’t afraid to take risks and we are so pleased to welcome him to Puma and can’t wait for his fans to see what he has in store for them through our collaboration.”

Kourtney Kardashian and retailer, PrettyLittleThings celebrated their collaborated launch at the Poppy nightclub in Los Angeles last week. Diddy, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, and Wiz Khalifa were some of the special guests in attendance. The assemblage consists of a colorful variety of apparel and accessories. Jumpers, various footwear, and bodycon dresses are just a few items within the launch all retailing between $15 to $115. Kourtney shared her motivation stating, “My inspiration behind the collection was studio 54, 70s Cher vibes, we wanted to do bright colors like, add a little life to it with sequins and faux fur and it’s turned out really amazing. It’s been amazing working with PrettyLittleThing because it’s fun accessible fast fashion,” This collection is everything you want for a night-out, and at a reasonable price. Sephora is kicking off their “Reach Out and Gift” campaign starring their very own diverse employees. The marketing theme stems from today’s current political mayhem and the idea of beauty being a favorable gift. Sephora’s SVP of Marketing, Deborah Yeh rendered her thoughts stating, “We’ve been having the conversation about unique perspectives in beauty and celebrating diversity in our marketing for a number of years, but this is our first opportunity to really show it in such a demonstrative way, by elevating real people from the real Sephora beauty community.”

Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah and streetwear retailer Extra Butter has debuted their new “Pretty Toney” collaboration. The capsule consists of a two-way launch with one being the Asics Tiger Gel Lyte MT retailing for $180. The second release comes by way of hat merchant New Era featuring their classic 9Fifty Strapback ball cap retailing for $36, and the New Era Beanie which sales for $24. The entire collection is inspired by Ghostface’s love for leather as well as his “Pretty Toney” stamp. The bundle will be available for purchase exclusively at this year’s ComplexCon in Long Beach, California on November 4th and 5th, and will later release at retailers and online Tuesday, November 7th.

InStyle hosted their 3rd annual InStyle Awards last week via an intimate dinner held in Los Angeles. The event honored various known celebrities who has left their legacy on several red carpet events the year. A few of the honorees consisted of Zendaya, Selena Gomez, Faith Hill, Demi Lovato, and the lovely Cate Blanchett who took home the Style Icon Award. The honorees are listed as “Hollywood’s 50 Best Dressed” which is displayed in the magazine’s November’s issue. Cadillac, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Fji Water, and Brahmin were a few vendors sponsoring the glamorous event.

The Opening Ceremony label has been wicked busy with multiple collaborations surfacing back-to-back. There most recent collaboration was with outdoor retailer Columbia. Together the two brands have released a 44-piece capsule containing the likes of hats, fleeces, gloves, anoraks (that’s waterproof jackets for the fashionably impaired – but we still love you), and parkas. This will be the first time the two labels have ever gotten together to launch anything, so this is definitely a treat for the consumers. The collection retails from $65 to $995 and is available for both men and women. Opening Ceremony has also linked up with the Kappa brand for a menswear only release, which retails from $85 to $175. As well as a recent partnership with Reebok, in which the two released apparel and the OC Pump Supreme kicks retailing from $25 to $995. Each of these collaborations are available now online here, as well as at Opening Ceremony retailers in New York, California, and Tokyo, definitely go see what’s up.
